Corset Tops
Derived from a French word for body, a corset is a garment designed to give women an illusion of smaller and slimmer figure. For women this mostly emphasizes on a curvy figure, by reducing the waist and push up the bust and hips. The corset top comes in various colors and sizes so anyone can wear them.
Corsets were introduced in the royal courts of Spain and France in the sixteenth century. These were mainly designed to mold women's body until it assumed an hourglass shape. A Corset encloses the torso, extending from under the arms to the hip. In very rare cases it also extends up to knees. It also includes a band named as a garter to hold up stockings. The garment is usually made up of flexible material cloth and stiffened with boning inserted into channel of cloth or leather.
Corsets are held together by lacing, usually at the back. Tightening or loosening the lacing produces corresponding changes in the firmness of the corset. However, many corsets also had a buttoned or hooked front opening. Once the lacing is adjusted comfortably, it is possible to leave the lacing as adjusted and take the corset on and off using the front opening.
In the past, the corset was worn over a garment called chemise. But these days the corset is also worn as a top. It absorbed perspiration and kept the corset and the gown clean. In modern times mainly a corset liner is worn to keep the corset comfortable.
Corset comes in various varieties; the most common and sexiest variety is sleeveless corset. If u really want a casual and alluring look you should got out for this top. The corset top gives a classic look when worn with a pair of jeans and high heels. Short sleeve corset is also popular the most. It gives you dressier look and can be worn for casual parties normally at clubs. To give you a neat and clean look long sleeves corsets are preferred. They look sexy with a pair of leggings or jeans. Black corset and strapless corset when worn makes women look very elegant.
Corsets are also used for waist reduction. Wearing a tightly laced corset for extending periods- a practice known as tight lacing where men and women learn to tolerate extreme constriction and reduce their normal waist. Tight Lacers usually aim for 40 to 43 centimeters. Present day corset-wearers usually tighten the corset just enough to reduce waists to dimensions that range from 18 to 24 inches.
These are also used for medical purposes as well. Corset reduces the problem of back aches and several other muscular disorders. Women's with heavy breasts finds it easy to wear a corset rather than brasseries as the weight of bust is carried out by the whole corset. A corset top can instantly improve the figure without dieting, slimming and undergoing cosmetic surgery.
It is recommended that the women who are planning to wear a corset must not tighten it very hard initially. A badly-fitting corset top can irritate, impede digestion, damage ribs, or pinch nerves.
